STUDENT SCHEDULE

July 19th

Arrive at PLNU. PLNU will be open for students to stay from 10:00 am, and you must be at PLNU by 7:00 pm. We will reach out to you to coordinate airport pickup once you have officially been selected.

• 10:00 am PLNU opens for Backpacking Students

• 8:00 pm God over trip details, including food and plan for all day in the wilderness

• Spend the night in the recreation center that night and prepare to leave early the next morning.

July 20th

Arrive at Courtright

Courtright → Post Corral Creek (8200)

• First 3.45 miles, 900 feet of elevation

• Last 3.4 miles, 600 feet of decline

• Camp at River Site and Refill Water

Schedule

• 3:00 am Leave Loma

• 11:30 am arrive at Courtwright

• 12:00 pm Start Hiking

• 5:00 pm arrive at Post Corral Creek

• 7:45-8:30 pm Get ready for bed and hit the hay

July 21st 

Corral Creek → Disappointment Lake (10400)

• 6 Miles Elevation Increase

• 2200 Feet of elevation

Schedule

• 6:30 am wake up!!

• 12:00 pm Water/ Snack Break

• 12:30- 2:30 pm Hiking

• 2:30 pm arrive at Dissapointment Lake!!!

• 8:00 pm Hangout and get ready for bed

July 22nd

 Disappointment Lake → Hell’s For Sure Lake (10800)

• 1.1 Miles

• 400 Feet of Elevation

• 7:00 am WAKE UP

• 7:00 am Breakfast

• 9:00 am Start hiking

• 10:30 am arrive at Campground!!

• 9:00 am get ready for bed

July 23rd

Hells For Sure → Corral Creek (8200)

• 7.6 Miles

• 3000 Feet of Decline

• 7:00 am WAKE UP

• 9:00 am Start hiking

• 3:00 pm arrive at Post Corral Creek

• 8:00 pm Hangout before bed

July 24th

Corral Creek→ Courtwright (8200)

• First 3.4 miles, 600 feet of incline

• Last 3.45 miles, 900 feet of decline

• 5:30 am WAKE UP

• 7:30 am Start hiking

• 1:30 pm Arrive at the car

• 2:00 pm Drive Home

• 11:00 pm is the latest arrival time to Loma

July 25th

• Students may stay on campus until 4 pm before traveling back home. 

Students can begin leaving as soon as we arrive back on campus on July 24th. However, students may also stay until 4 pm on July 25th. We will have leaders taking students to the airport on July 25th if needed.
